Game one, of the inaugural best of 7 Superstar Baseball Retrochallenge Classic was won by the visiting team American league Allstars. The AL took a 5-0 lead, powered by a Babe Ruth Home Run and RBI single by Ty Cobb, into the bottom of the ninth where Hank Aaron of the NL squad hit a Grand Slab Home Run to narrow the lead to 5-4, but relief pitcher Hoyt Wilhelm closed out the game retiring pinch hitter Ted Simmons. This first game was appropriately played on the 1980’s original hardware Times Sinclair 2068, with composite video supplied to a 19″ LED TV. Game 2 is scheduled for later today, to be played on a Windows 8 laptop running Superstar Baseball on the EightyOne emulator.
